Iglesia La Merced

Tegucigalpa

In 1847, the convent of La Merced was converted to house Honduras' first university; the country's national gallery was established there in 1996, but moved to Comayagua in 2015. The well-restored building is itself a work of art, and as impressive as the paintings inside.
