While the Mexican town of Tequila has many charming qualities, it’s fair to say that the eponymous drink by the same name is the number one draw in the destination, with tastings and distillery tours proving ever-popular with visitors from all over the world. But now, lovers of the beverage can take things a step further, by sleeping in barrel-shaped rooms beside an actual tequila factory.

“The hotel is a concept that joins the alchemy of tequila with human senses, a place that invites you to go through the same path as an experimented tequila, a shared motivation. It is the only hotel within a tequila factory and with barrel-shaped rooms surrounded by agave fields,” a representative of Matices Barrels Hotel told Lonely Planet. The experiences are currently available to purchase through a number of booking sites.
