The most upscale hotel in San Ignacio by a considerable margin (Queen Elizabeth stayed here, as the photos in the lobby attest), this is boutique luxury but with welcoming, professional staff and a serene location just uphill from the town center. Beyond the pool area the property is backed by jungle and home to the excellent Green Iguana Conservation Project.
Rooms are understated but exquisite; family-sized suites comfortably house six, while standard rooms are more cozy but all have private balconies with views of the pool or the hotel's lush garden. If you're in the mood for an in-town splurge, this is the place (ask for the Queen's room).
