DRC ferry sinks on Lake Taganyika killing at least 129

At least 129 people have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo after the ferry they were travelling on capsized into Lake Tanganyika. Officials have said that strong winds and overloading caused the MV Mutambala to overturn. Rescue workers plucked 232 survivors from the water, many of whom were clinging on to petrol cans and other objects. Read morel bbc.co.uk
