About Emerson
Growing up among the golden dehesas, pristine rivers and serene valleys of Extremadura in Spain and later studying in Seville and Buenos Aires, led Emerson to specialise in environmental research on the Iberian Peninsula and sustainability and culture across Europe.
Emerson's slow, flight-free travel lifestyle has taken him to all four corners of Europe by land and sea, allowing him an intimate understanding of the cultural, gastronomic and sociopolitical situations of the countries he visits and those he has settled in, including Portugal, France, Georgia and Turkey.
Fluent in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese and always eager to learn new languages to make better connections, you’ll regularly catch Emerson with his hitchhiking thumb out. Meet him on the road, and he'll happily swap books, share craft beers, or set out on a journal-worthy adventure together!
