Hidden away on a quiet residential block just west of the bus station, this small guesthouse contains the best Italian restaurant in Playas del Coco, and possibly all of Guanacaste. The owners have roots in Tuscany and Venetia, and to resurrect their family recipes they combine imported ingredients from Italy with fresh produce, fish and beef from local farms and fishing boats.

The set 'couples dinner' highlights the best of the menu, featuring crispy crostone (open-faced toast), a delicate caprese salad, two handmade pasta dishes and an outrageous straccetti di filetto (beef strips) dish. There's also a full vegetarian menu, and everything pairs nicely with the Italian wines.
