Folklore Museum of Theologos

Thasos

Thasos was an entirely autonomous statelet under nominal Egyptian rule in the 19th century, and its president Metaxas Chatzigeorgi ruled the land from his home in Theologos. Remaining intact from those legendary times, the place now houses a collection of antique household items gathered over a long period by villagers. Focus is on weaving and and booze-making.
