If you fancy the idea of seeing the new Seven Wonders of the World, group-travel operator, Contiki, is offering to pay your rent while you do it. The epic trip takes travellers on separate trips to the Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer, Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu, Petra and the Colosseum. For those who take all seven trips, Contiki is offering savings of up to US$2840 (€2513), which is the national average cost of rent for two months.

One caveat is that you have to prove your rent amount to get the deal. You still have to pay your actual rent yourself though, but Contiki will apply the amount to your trip as a saving. The other point is you must be between 18 and 35 years old to book Contiki trips.

While the seven trips can be booked separately, the discount applies if they are combined into an epic 82-day trip. It begins in Delhi, India, on 24 March, and over 12 days takes travellers to visit the iconic Taj Mahal. It finishes in Rome, Italy, on 13 June, where the travellers will see the final wonder on the list, the ancient Roman amphitheatre, the Colosseum.

According to Contiki, 90% of millennials and Gen-Xers say that visiting one of the Wonders of the World is on their bucket list for 2019. “Whether you’re a YoPro in between jobs, gap year traveller or need a serious break from adulthood, you can travel the world without having to feel guilty about your rent money going out the window or the stress of subletting,” it says.
